The afternoon sun streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the president's office, unreservedly shining upon Ni Xuanyi. It was warm but a bit dazzling; she looked up at Li Yi standing before her. His shirt reflected the sunlight, making that patch of white seem striking and radiant.

"Xuanyuan, here, do you want me to treat you like an ordinary employee or as my sister" Li Yi's tone was gentle yet serious.

Ni Xuanyi answered without hesitation: "Since I'm here, I am your employee, and I will work hard."

"Xuanyuan, I know that these years you've been very dedicated to your studies at school. I know you are a person who strives for progress. If you truly want to establish your own career, I'll give you the chance, but I won't be lenient with you."

Li Yi didn't hide his low opinion of newcomers and spoke frankly to Ni Xuanyi as well; he said that he disliked graduates with no experience and that if she wanted to enter his company's core team, she would have to start from the very bottom as an assistant.
