CongLěi and Jì Yàn were not exaggerating; Ni Xiānyī is indeed a perfect woman. She is懂事溫和,待人接物有禮大度, (considerate and gentle, courteous and magnanimous in her dealings with others), naturally intelligent and hardworking, and her own beauty makes her stand out like a shining star among the many beautiful university students.

When Ni Xiānyī heard their praises, she did not feel proud or arrogant but sighed silently. She wanted to indulge herself carefree and play around too, yet all her efforts were for one person's sake.

The past two years had been very hard on Ni Xiānyī. She got up early and went to bed late every day, studying diligently and attending various refinement classes seriously, but she did not allow herself to feel the hardship. She knew that this was just the beginning; there was still a long road ahead for her.

Having no class in the afternoon, Ni Xiānyī sat in front of her computer and habitually opened Baidu, typing "盛世王朝" directly into the search bar.

The results numbered in the tens of thousands. She carefully read through recent news reports one by one.

Recently, there had been significant changes in the upper echelons of Shèngshì Chuángháo; while they were all over the internet, more attention was given to the news about how the CEO of the Dynasty Group was boldly implementing reforms.

Ni Xiānyī clicked on a photo of Lì Yì from Sina's website. In the picture, Lì Yì looked elegant and refined; his lowered eyelids hid the aloofness in his eyes, which Ni Xiānyī loved to gaze at with warmth.

After closing Lì Yì’s photos, she pondered carefully on the direction of development for Dynasty Empire. Everything she was learning now had something to do with Dynasty Empire.

The next morning, Ni Xiānyī selected a green skirt with white flowers and put it on. Walking around in it made her look as lively and graceful as blooming flowers on a March lawn.

Ni Xuanyi is always very busy at school and tends to wear casual jeans and T-shirts. She finds it troublesome and time-consuming to wear skirts, except when she's meeting Li Yi, in which case she will put on a skirt to make a good impression.

Ji Yan sits down with a crunching sound as she chews her chips: "You're going to meet the eldest son of the Li family again" Ni Xuanyi's teenage infatuation with Li Yi cannot be hidden from Ji Yan and Cong Lei, who are similarly experiencing their first loves.

"Yes," Ni Xuanyi doesn't intend to keep it a secret and admits it openly.

"It looks like it might rain outside. You should bring an umbrella." Without saying more, Ji Yan kindly reminds Ni Xuanyi.

When Ni Xuanyi leaves the house, the rain starts drizzling, bringing a sense of freshness to her anxious mood. As the car travels on the highway towards the airport, it's clear that the rain is not letting up but increasing in intensity.

Despite Ji Yan’s kind reminder, Ni Xuanyi forgets to take an umbrella with her, yet she doesn't fear this at all since the Li family will send a car to pick up both Li Yi and herself on their return.

The international flight from Britain is delayed by nearly an hour. Ni Xuanyi patiently waits for over an hour; as long as she can wait for her beloved, she doesn't mind how long it takes.

As soon as Li Yi steps out of the terminal building, Ni Xuanyi spots him. There are many people there to meet arriving passengers. Standing slightly behind others, Ni Xuanyi wants to surprise Li Yi; her heart is pounding rapidly and even her fingertips gripping the railing turn white.

Watching Li Yi, Ni Xuanyi can't control the trembling in her heart as it beats extremely fast. Just as she's about to wave at him, she notices a beautiful woman walking beside him.

The lady is wearing a shirt and a short skirt that reaches just above her knees, paired with long boots and a beige windbreaker. Her long hair falls loosely behind her shoulders, slightly curled, and around her neck is draped an artistic long scarf casually. She wears oversized sunglasses on her face and carries a small leather bag slung over one arm as she walks with her head slightly lowered. Her fashionable, cold yet noble demeanor catches the attention of all men present.

Liyi tilted his head and said something to the woman. She took off her glasses, revealing a pair of beautiful clear eyes. She smiled at Liyi and spoke to him; Liyi met her gaze just right, their eyes sparking like electricity in the air.

Ni Xuanyi stood there somewhat dumbfounded. How could she not have thought that Liyi would also have a girlfriend

Compared with the woman by Liyi's side, her own outfit seemed extremely immature. She suddenly felt as though all of her efforts over these two years had been in vain.

Watching Liyi and that lady walk out of the passage shoulder to shoulder, Ni Xuanyi let her long eyelashes fall low in sadness, reluctantly turning away and walking out slowly.

Liyi led the woman into his own luxury car. They left.

Ni Xuanyi stood on the other side of the glass window, unsure what to do. There were no familiar faces among the pedestrians bustling around her; she stood there alone and felt說不出的鬱悶難受。沮喪和難過充滿了她的心。

Liyi had given her warm and considerate care, provided her with abundant material enjoyment, and left her with joyful and romantic memories, but he never gave her any promises.

He was a man who could marry and have children at any time. He was a man who could casually date any woman!

The thought made Ni Xuanyi feel as if her heart were being cut by a knife, yet she had nothing to say in response. Liyi never gave her any promises, nor did she ever declare herself to him.

No matter how hard she tried, it would be futile if the direction was wrong.

Ni Xuanyi's body, which usually thrived from daily exercise, suddenly felt drained of energy, unable to lift her feet towards the airport.

The rain was pouring heavily outside, and without an umbrella, she mechanically walked out and stood numbly in the downpour waiting for a taxi. Nobody dared to compete with her; everyone let her get into the approaching taxi first.

Ni Xuanyi returned to their dormitory like a drowned rat. Both Ji Yan and Cong Lei hadn't gone outside due to the rain, and they were both startled by Ni Xuanyi's disheveled appearance.

Ji Yan approached her and took the bag from Ni Xuanyi's hand, asking worriedly, "What happened Didn't you meet Young Master Li Why are you all wet"

Ni Xuanyi responded with a muffled sound, her face expressionless as she instinctively avoided Ji Yan’s gaze. She was stunned by the scene at the airport and felt utterly disoriented.

"Oh! Don't nag at her now, Xiaoxuan, go take a hot shower right away or you'll catch a cold!" Cong Lei rushed over to push Ji Yan aside, pointing towards the bathroom.

“Okay!” Ni Xuanyi nodded, feeling grateful that Cong Lei had helped ease the situation. She took her pajamas and went into the bathroom.

Closing the bathroom door, she turned on the shower, and tears began to pour down her face along with the water.

Life isn't about succeeding simply by working hard; there are no guaranteed outcomes, and situations can change at any moment. Recalling what happened at the airport, Ni Xuanyi felt truly lost as to how she should proceed.

After her shower, when Ni Xuanyi came out, Ji Yan and Cong Lei had already brought back lunch for everyone. They urged her to eat but she had no appetite, merely stating that she was tired before lying down in despondency.uoxi endured was caused by her own son.Afтер listening to Shao Junhe's account, Gu Xiaobei took a deep breath and steadied herself before heading upstairs.Li Haonan, who had been waiting outside for s...
