In Xiao Junhe's anxious wait, Yan Luoxi finally returned, staggering.

The moment he saw Yan Luoxi enter the door, Xiao Junhe thought something must have gone wrong last night; his heart felt cold and heavy.

Last night, Yan Luoxi drank too much alcohol. Her face was pale yellow, her eyelids swollen. Because she had taken a bath before falling asleep without combing her hair, it looked messy and untidy. Her clothes were wrinkled, her gaze vacant, her expression dazed, with one button of her shirt wrongly fastened—it seemed as if she had been through something terrible.

Xiao Junhe didn't want to upset Yan Luoxi any further; he approached cautiously, greeting her softly: "Luoxi, you're back!"

Yan Luoxi felt terribly unwell after drinking too much the night before and barely had the strength to survive. Hearing Xiao Junhe's voice, she noticed there was another person in the room. She frowned slightly: "You…"

The moment Yan Luoxi spoke, she realized her voice sounded hoarse. Swallowing hard, she continued, “What are you doing here”

"I've been worried about you all night because you didn't come back." Xiao Junhe looked up and down at Yan Luoxi carefully and asked cautiously: "Are... Are you okay If there's anything I can help with, just tell me. I will do my utmost to assist without telling anyone."

He thought Yan Luoxi must have been bullied the night before and wanted to take revenge on that guy who had taken advantage of her; he was afraid she would be too embarrassed to speak up, so his questions were very delicate.

Yan Luoxi was currently feeling dizzy and confused, and she failed to grasp the meaning behind Shao Junhe's words. She only latched onto his last statement, which reminded her of Li An once again, causing another wave of pain in her heart. She dared not dwell on it further and turned towards Shao Junhe, shouting at him, "I am feeling much better now; you should leave immediately. That would be the best help for me."

Shao Junhe was born into a wealthy family and was somewhat pampered during his upbringing. However, with Li An and Shao Meizhuo around—two individuals known for their stubbornness and capriciousness—the years had tempered his temperament. Additionally, Yan Luoxi was someone whom he had longed for over the years; thus, even though she shouted at him, he pretended not to mind.

He endured her outburst with patience and a good temper, smiling amiably at Yan Luoxi. Shao Junhe’s smile looked very charming, somewhat innocent, elegant yet approachable with dimples gracing his cheeks as he said, "Luoxi, why don’t you take a shower I’ll order breakfast for you; eating something will make you feel better."

Yan Luoxi was indeed hungry at this moment. Looking at her disheveled appearance in the mirror made her uncomfortable to argue with Shao Junhe further. She found two sets of clean clothes from her luggage and walked into the bathroom.

The events of yesterday were like a nightmare, but now that she had awakened from it, no matter how sad or painful she felt, she needed to bravely continue living.

Dragging her exhausted body, Yan Luoxi took a quick shower, dried herself off, blow-dried her hair, and changed into casual t-shirts and jeans.

She was now without Zhou Guangtao and had lost Li An; she had no support left. She needed to return to her previous state of self-reliance and work hard to live well on her own.

In fact, Yan Luoxi could have sought refuge with her mother, Xue Liping. However, years of habit made it rare for her to think about her mother when faced with problems. Moreover, Li An’s fiancée, Sun Liangliang, was closely connected to her mother; she did not wish to be entangled again in anything related to Li An.

She was tired and had reached her limit. Li An was like a severely painful tooth that needed to be extracted and discarded.

When Yan Luoxi came out of the shower, Shao Junhe had already prepared breakfast and was standing awkwardly beside her.

The breakfast at a five-star hotel is indeed impressive with a variety of dishes that look appealing. Accompanied by fresh flowers on the dining table, it truly stimulates one's appetite.

Since Yan Luoxi drank too much alcohol last night and was still nauseous today, she didn't feel like eating anything. Nevertheless, she forced herself to sit at the dining table; only when she ate well could she muster up the strength for a long journey ahead.

Seeing that Yan Luoxi was willing to sit down at the dining table made Shao Junhe very happy. He himself had been awake half the night and was hungry, but as Yan Luoxi hadn't spoken up, he didn't dare to easily take a seat beside her.

Lifting her head and glancing at Shao Junhe, Yan Luoxi immediately thought of another person. Her eyes revealed a complex mix of emotions. She tried hard to swallow the congee in her mouth and called out to Shao Junhe, "Mr. Shao, you haven't had breakfast either, come sit down and have it with me!"

"Ah!" Overwhelmed by this unexpected kindness from Yan Luoxi, Shao Junhe lost his usual composure for a moment. He sat nervously next to her.

As Yan Luoxi ate the congee and pickled vegetables on the table, she looked up at Shao Junhe with a somewhat bewildered expression, causing him great unease. After some time, Yan Luoxi smiled gracefully at Shao Junhe; her smile was sudden but very beautiful, which left Shao Junhe momentarily stunned.

"Mr. Shao, I want to thank you for your help over the past two days." This statement from Yan Luoxi came genuinely from her heart.

Shao Junhe found it hard to breathe.

After taking a bath and drinking some hot porridge, Yan Luoxi's face had regained its pink hue, looking like the red stamen on a white flower. Her hair was loosely draped over her shoulders, not particularly beautiful but carrying an indescribable charm that seemed to captivate one's soul.

Shao Junhe stood there for quite some time before he realized he had forgotten to respond to Yan Luoxi and said with a slight blush, "No need to thank me. It’s nothing big. Luoxi, don’t call me Mr. Shao anymore; just call me Junhe."

"How can I do that" Yan Luoxi shook her head. After the incident with Li An, she truly understood the temperaments of these second-generation rich kids and knew their names weren't something she could casually address them by.

"Luoxi, just call me Junhe. If you don’t want to do that, then call me Brother Mung Bean," Shao Junhe urged her anxiously.

Yan Luoxi found this version of Shao Junhe very endearing; there was no future between them anyway, so why bother arguing over titles

She stopped being polite to Shao Junhe and focused on eating, having two egg tarts and a bowl of porridge. She suddenly paused, looking blankly at the food with tears in her eyes.

Shao Junhe was absentmindedly eating a sandwich while watching Yan Luoxi; upon seeing her like this, his heart tightened inexplicably. "Luoxi, don’t be sad anymore."

Yan Luoxi didn't respond but picked up the glass and drank the milk inside. Shao Junhe handed her a napkin, which she used to wipe her mouth before getting up to pack her luggage for departure.

The moment Shao Junhe saw Yan Luoxi close her suitcase and pull out the handle, he quickly stood up. "Luoxi, where are you going""Well..." When Xu Liping talked about this issue, she seemed a bit shy but then spoke openly: "I came to Phuket for a trip."Yan Luoxi couldn't help exclaiming, "Phuket! The last time we called you wer...
