inking that stuffing herself would make her feel better."You can go to Haidilao, but you're not allowed to have spicy food." Zhou Guangtao pointed at the injuries on Yan Luoxi's arms and legs. "Eating...Chapter Fifteen: Self-Harm for Love

The wide beach was covered in pristine white sand, and the waves carried a faint briny scent as they surged continuously from afar, relentlessly crashing onto the shore before quietly retreating.

Where the sea met the sky, a brilliant red glow of sunset painted an extraordinary scene against the blue expanse.

This expansive and tranquil scenery would leave anyone feeling refreshed and at ease; unfortunately, Li An was not in the mood to appreciate it. Yan Luoxi happily accepted his returned phone but showed no signs of wanting to reconcile with him.

Watching Yan Luoxi fiddle with her phone with a smile that betrayed her excitement made Li An even more agitated.

This seemed like a lose-lose situation. Not only did Yan Luoxi not make any attempt to reconcile, but she now had an additional means of contacting the outside world.

Li An was frustrated and indignant. Who invented these phones and developed this network that provided such a broad platform for people who refused to be content with their lot in life If it were the silent era of old, there wouldn’t be so much distant longing or undeserved love!

This time around, Yan Luoxi’s resolve to part ways with Li An was as firm as ever. No matter what he did or said, she turned a deaf ear and blind eye. Her actions clearly communicated to Li An that no matter how hard he tried now, her ultimate goal remained the same: leave this place and leave him.

Li An was thoroughly defeated by Yan Luoxi’s resolve; his spirits were utterly darkened.

The weather here seemed to be crying for Li An too. For several days, a drizzle had persisted through noon with temperatures lower than usual. The guest room air conditioning was off, and the window left open let in a breeze that blew against Li An’s face.

Yan Luoxi lay down and covered herself with a blanket to take a nap. Li An didn’t want to go back to his own bedroom, so he curled up on the sofa instead. With a cold wind blowing in, he felt very alert and had no desire to sleep at all.

He narrowed his eyes and tried to doze off, but then another gust of wind blew by, making him sneeze loudly, "A-chu!"

Without the warmth from sunlight, this place felt quite chilly and damp.

Li An rubbed his nose and looked at Yan Luoxi who was lying on the bed with her back to him. He noticed she moved slightly after he sneezed but didn’t do anything else afterward.

Seeing that, Li An quickly pulled off the thin blanket from himself and hoped another cold wind would blow in so he could have another sneeze, but fate was unkind; even though there were small gusts blowing for an entire afternoon, no more sneezing happened.

In the cold winds, Li An finally fell asleep. When he opened his eyes again, it was already late afternoon. He turned to look at the big bed and saw nobody there. He suddenly sat up on the sofa in a start, only to see Yan Luoxi watching TV in the living room.

As soon as Li An relaxed, he felt sore all over and slightly dizzy; obviously, he had caught a chill from sleeping in cold air.

Seeing how the thin blanket had slipped under the sofa, his heart was filled with both sorrow and resentment toward this heartless little brat who didn’t even tuck him in after seeing him fall asleep.

Limp and pale, Li An walked out of the guest room. Seeing his condition, one of the maids cleaning in the living room couldn’t help asking, “Sir, are you feeling unwell anywhere”

"I have a headache." With a hoarse voice, Li An sat down on a couch not far from Yan Luoxi.

"Sir, are you feeling cold Let me get some medicine for you!" The servant immediately asked solicitously.

"No need. Just pour me a cup of hot tea," said Li An while his eyes were fixed on Yan Luoxi's direction. When he saw that Yan Luoxi was staring at the TV and had not even glanced at him, he felt extremely depressed.

This little girl is determined to no longer care about me!

Sitting alone on the sofa, Li An felt lonely and forsaken as if a cold wind was circling around his body. He wanted to cry but there were no tears, feeling aggrieved and sad.

Seeing Li An looking dejected with an ash-gray complexion, Yan Luoxi thought back to his sneeze during lunchtime and worried about him deeply.

But this naughty boy was too hateful and knew exactly how to push her buttons. He always made her feel guilty by pretending to be miserable. She decided that she would ignore him today to see what he could do about it.

Sick people are delicate, but Li An, seeing Yan Luoxi's stubborn refusal to pay attention to his cold self, started to hold a grudge. He refused medicine and wouldn’t put on more clothes, choosing instead to freeze himself.

Does this little girl know how much courage and dignity it took him to admit his mistake She didn't feel honored at all but treated him coldly.

The same night, Li An slept in his main bedroom. The seaside was chilly at night; since the window wasn’t closed tightly, salty sea wind rushed into the room, blowing the gossamer curtains around.

Li An had caught a slight chill during the day and now felt even colder. He curled up with his body chilled, feeling self-abandoned: he wished that he would freeze to death tonight, making someone who treated him badly and didn't value him responsible for manslaughter, and let her feel guilty about his death forever!

Lian Yu became more and more convinced that his foolish idea made sense, so he didn't ask for an extra blanket or get up to close the window. He just lay there freezing, hoping for death to come sooner.

His sick body was like a weed just poking out of the soil; after being rained on and chilled further, it sprouted fully and grew wildly in the wind.

In a confused state, Lian Yu chuckled to himself, thinking that Yan Luoxi always thought about Zhou Guangtao whenever she could. Wasn't her heart filled only with him

He wanted to make Yan Luoxi realize that there was another man in this world who would willingly sacrifice his life for her. He planned to leave a mark on Yan Luoxi's heart by dying and carve out an indelible impression on the course of her life through self-harm.

If he really died, how would Yan Luoxi react Would she cry Would she regret it

With these wild thoughts running through his mind, Lian Yu became extremely tired and fell asleep without realizing it.

Yan Luoxi also didn't sleep well that night. Although she was angry with Lian Yu, she couldn't stop worrying about how sick he looked in the afternoon. Several times she wanted to get up and check on him in their bedroom, but considering his mischievous nature, she feared falling into his trap if she did. So she held back.

The next morning, when Yan Luoxi saw that Lian Yu hadn't gotten up earlier than usual like he normally would, her heart sank; she could no longer feign composure and coldness. She pushed open the door to Lian Yu's room without hesitation.

Upon entering their bedroom, Yan Luoxi was immediately hit by a chill from the half-open window. Seeing Lian Yu curled up on his side under a thin blanket, she felt both anxious and angry.e. He strained to open his eyes and found it was Yán Luoxī whom he had been longing for day and night.Luoxī!Overwhelmed with excitement, he wanted to call out her name but his parched throat wouldn’t...
